Paris flight test simulated real-world scenarios involving different aircraft types

The French element of the European CORUS-XUAM research project that took place on 23 September at Pointoise Airport near Paris was the third to simulate a variety of real-world scenarios that demonstrate how Unmanned Aircraft System Traffic Management (UTM) and Air Traffic Management (ATM) intersect with several types of aircraft.
This series of flight tests was carried out jointly by a team composed of Groupe Aéroport de Paris, M3 Systems, Pipistrel Aircraft and Volocopter.

The demonstration is part of an industry-driven surge in technology innovation and societal pressure for new forms of aviation focused on sustainable, digital and autonomous air mobility. A CORUS-XUAM round table marking the event included stakeholders supporting the regulatory sandbox.
