Nav Canada seeks business analyst to support expansion of drone operations

Canadian air navigation service provider Nav Canada is advertising for a Team Lead Business Analyst to work with remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS). The successful candidate will be responsible for the centralised digital services that facilitate the safe integration of RPAS (drones) into Canadian airspace. Given its wide remit covering RPAS operations and technology the RTM directorate includes operational personnel, engineering, and technical solutions in one dedicated team.

Nav Canada is looking for a highly experienced lead Business Analyst to support the definition of RTM services and help shape the future of aviation through this emerging sector. Tasks include:

  1. Lead the planning, organisation, and/or coordination of the business requirements and process, design, implementation, integration, system roadmaps deliverables for RPAS systems.
    Provide expert level functional support for remote traffic management systems and a strong understanding of the underlying concepts, processes, and workflows.
    3. Support the definition of system enhancements, roadmaps and release plans for applications and services.
  2. Keep abreast of RPAS Traffic Management trends, evolving concepts, and technologies and recommending solutions to leadership to continually improve functionality, meet client needs and improve customer service.
