Jean-Brice Dumont will become MBDA’s new Chief Executive Officer, from 1 November 2026, succeeding Eric Béranger who has led the Group since 2019. A handover process will start in October.
“Jean-Brice Dumont comes with extensive international experience in the aerospace and defence industry, having served successively over the last 14 years in the executive committees of Airbus Helicopters, Airbus Commercial and Airbus Group as Head of Engineering,” MBDA said. “He has been leading Military Air Systems and Air Power at Airbus Defence and Space for 5 years, based in Spain. Throughout his career, Jean-Brice Dumont has focused on large international programmes such as Tiger, NH90 and H160/HIL, as well as the range of Airbus commercial programmes, particularly with the A321XLR and A350F launches. Over the last 5 years, he has focused on the resilience of key programmes such as the A400M, while modernising the existing fleet of Eurofighter, A330 MRTT and C295 alongside with an industrial ramp-up. He has actively driven preparation for the future with next generation programmes in all segments (drones, mission, transport, combat).”
Under Eric Béranger’s tenure, MBDA went through seven years of transformation and expansion, growing from a circa EUR 3 billion company with 12,000 people and to an almost EUR 6 billion company with 22,000 employees.
