Unmanned Airspace, the online news and analysis service for unmanned air system traffic management (UTM), urban air mobility (UAM), counter-UAS (C-UAS) and space traffic management systems, and Global Airspace Radar, the single online source of information for airspace management stakeholders have announced a merger.
Both services will retain their separate websites and branding but will be partners within the FoxATM group of companies. Philip Butterworth-Hayes will remain as editorial director of Unmanned Airspace and will align editorial and commercial resources with Global Airspace Radar to offer readers and commercial partners unique coverage of global airspace management issues.
“We started Unmanned Airspace back in 2018 when it was starting to become clear that the management, safety and security of low-level airspace was becoming a global issue which needed a niche information source,” said Philip Butterworth-Hayes. “With the digital transformation of the commercial air traffic management market now firmly underway it makes sense to align coverage of this sector, and I’m delighted to be working with Claudia and her team to extend the services we can offer our audience.”
“I’m looking forward to working with Phil as we start to offer broader and deeper coverage of all airspace management issues in the future,” said Global Airspace Radar’s Editor-in-Chief Claudia Bacco. “Working together will mean we can produce more focused content and develop new programmes and services.”
“I’m delighted to welcome Unmanned Airspace into the FoxATM fold,” said FoxATM founder Vincent Lambercy. “It’s a perfect fit and will increase the knowledge-base and development possibilities of both sites.”
