Altitude Angel public survey finds “getting permission to fly” among top challenges

Altitude Angel has released the results of a public survey it carried out in 2022 on the use of drones. Over 65% of respondents were existing drone users and 70% flew for recreational purposes.

The survey identified users’ top four challenges as the following:

  1. Getting permission to fly
  2. People interrupting while flying or not understanding the rules
  3. UK weather
  4. Regular rule changes.

The need to open up the skies for routine automated drone use is becoming increasingly important, says Altitude Angel.
