AiRXOS joins with NUAIR to test UTM operations at Griffiss UAS Test Site, NY

AiRXOS, part of GE Aviation is the latest company to partner with Northeast UAS Airspace Integration Research (NUAIR) to advance the safe integration of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). NUAIR is working with the New York UAS Test Site at Griffiss International Airport to accelerate the adoption of safe and compliant unmanned aircraft system traffic management (UTM) solutions.

AiRXOS’ Air Mobility Platform supports Unmanned Air Traffic Management (UTM) operations and is FAA-approved to provide Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability (LAANC), enabling drone operators to gain automated access to fly within controlled airspace. AiRXOS recently announced the expansion of its Air Mobility Platform Ecosystem with the addition of 11 unmanned aircraft system (UAS) technology, service, and business partners, to help scale and accelerate UTM development.

“Partnering with AiRXOS compliments and enhances the UTM capabilities and research that we’ve been conducting in Central New York at the New York UAS Test Site and 50-mile UAS corridor,” said Michael Hertzendorf, chief executive officer of NUAIR. “Together, we will accomplish our collective goal of the safe integration of unmanned aircraft into the national airspace by helping to build a universal UTM system.”

NUAIR recently announced a partnership with DroneResponders to support the use of UAS by public safety and emergency services professionals. NUAIR says partnering with AiRXOS and DroneResponders will accelerate the adoption of drone technology within the public safety sector.
