Paraguay “seeks C-UAS to track UAVs, disrupt communications and return to point of departure”

The Paraguayan Ministry of Defence (MoD) has launched a tender for a counter-UAS (C-CUAS) system, reports Jane’s. According to the reports the requirement has been generated by the large number of unauthorised flights by Brazilian UAVs over Paraguay’s territory.

The C-UAS system will need to detect UAVs and to interrupt communications between the devices and controllers. The defence ministry also wants to be able to take control of the vehicles, stop transmissions of real-time sensor data and land the UAVs or fly them back to their point of departure
