US Defence Department awards Gird Systems man-portable C-UAS detection research contract

The US Department of Defense has awarded a USD148,364 contract to Gird Systems of Cincinnati, Ohio, to develop a comprehensive design plan for a man-portable, squad or platoon sized system for detecting and countering UAS threats. During phase one, the Contractor will analyze technologies for the UAS detection subsystem, creating an acceptability metric while taking into account the need for a low size, weight, power and cost.
