Japan seeks drone-enabled disaster response solutions

Japan is looking to transport supplies during disasters using drones. 

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) is seeking proposals for projects aimed at expanding and improving disaster response capabilities using drones. Examples include, but are not limited to, long-distance transport using large drones, heavy item transportation by drone and associated training.

The application period opened on June 4 and runs until July 3. The project period is expected to run from the date of grant approval to the end of February 2027.
