FlybyOps has launched a new enterprise drone operations platform designed to help organisations manage the operational and compliance complexity of scaling beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) and autonomous drone programmes.
The platform provides enterprise operators with a central operational layer for managing BVLOS and autonomous drone programmes. Specifically, it enables organisations to manage operational risk, flight approvals, personnel competencies, aircraft and equipment, incidents and corrective actions, documentation, audits, operational procedures and complete flight histories within a structured and traceable environment.
“This creates an auditable operational record that becomes increasingly important as organisations move from manually managed drone missions towards high-frequency and autonomous operations,” the company said in a 11 August press release.
Stephen Sutton, CEO of Flyby Guys, said that the platform has been developed to support the transition from operating a few drones to running hundreds or potentially thousands of BVLOS flights. The company’s aim is to provide enterprise operators with the compliance, operational control and visibility they need to safely scale autonomous drone operations.
FlybyOps is particularly suited to organisations developing drone programmes across logistics, infrastructure and other industries where BVLOS operations are expected to enable drones to become part of routine business operations rather than individual projects.
