The United States Marine Corps has awarded Epirus a USD 11 million contract for the High-power microwave Autonomous Vehicle Operational Capability (HAVOC) programme.
Epirus will deliver a sled-mounted high-power microwave system for universal integration with crewed and uncrewed ground vehicles, extending Low Altitude Air Defense (LAAD) units’ counter-drone defences to secure forward-deployed assets, infrastructure and personnel.
Prototype testing of a similar system to that to be used for HAVOC was carried out by the US defence department last year and Epirus demonstrated its HPM live-fire technology at a US government testing site in December 2025. The HAVOC programme system is expected to add further autonomy capabilities and increased power.
