The Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe (CAAZ) has approved Drone Solutions Zimbabwe to conduct commercial drone delivery operations nationwide.
The authorisation covers the company’s hybrid aircraft fleet across visual line of sight, extended visual line of sight and beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) capabilities.
Drone Solutions Zimbabwe says the CAAZ approval will expand its operations including the delivery of emergency medical supplies and vaccines as well as rapid parcel logistics.
The company has collaborated with with national postal service provider ZIMPOST, where the long-range KiteAero platform successfully completed a parcel delivery flight from the Blue Ridge flight facility to Mrewa, covering over 100 km of airspace.
