US DoT Office of Inspector General “to audit FAA progress on implementing UTM”

Ranking Members of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and its Subcommittee on Aviation has that US Department of Transportation Office of Inspector General (OIG): “assess FAA’s efforts to develop and implement UTM, including the pilot program and any collaborations or interactions FAA has had with other Government agencies, including NASA and the Department of Defense,” according to an OIG release.

“Accordingly, our audit objectives are to assess FAA’s (1) progress with UTM development and implementation, including results of its UTM pilot program; and (2) collaboration with other Government agencies regarding UTM,” continues the statement.
