SESAR projects share expertise and resources, target implementation of U1/U2 services across Europe

The Netherlands Aerospace Centre (NLR) recently hosted a meeting involving three SESAR research projects dedicated to advancing the European drone industry.

Teams involved in EALU-AeR, BURDI.eu and U-ELCOME DSD projects came together to “harmonize their insights and work together to pool knowledge, expertise, and resources”.

Among targets set at the meeting, participants agreed to collectively distil the wealth of best practices from their diverse experiences in order to streamline the implementation of U1/U2 services across Europe.

Among lessons learned the meeting “will allow future implementers to avoid common pitfalls as it will help to boost all projects”.

Participants also agreed to collect practical examples across various sectors and situations these projects develop and ultimately to support European drone market uptake.
