FAA approves CAL Analytics as a UAS service supplier in low altitude airspace

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has approved CAL Analytics to provide Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability (LAANC) services in the US.

LAANC is a collaboration between the FAA and private industry, like CAL Analytics, to safely integrate small drones into the national airspace system. CAL provides remote pilots and recreational flyers with airspace awareness and the opportunity to receive authorizations from the FAA to fly in controlled airspace (under 400 feet) through the company’s Enterprise UTM system.
