France’s Directorate of Air Navigation Services (DSNA) announced the second step in its programme to implement U-space services with the launch of the U-space Together Innovation Challenge on 21 November 2019 in Toulouse. DSNA first issued a request for information (RFI) on the opportunity and conditions of setting up partnerships for the implementation of U-space services at the end of 2018.
According to the latest DSNA invitation: “This challenge aims to rapidly extend to new areas the experiments currently underway in France on the operational interface between air traffic control and drone operations. A collaborative platform will soon be put online to exchange together through questions and answers around this challenge.”
