Belgium DronePort test site installs situational awareness capability to support integration of ATM and UTM

Belgium’s test ground DronePort has joined forces with Belgian drone service company SkeyDrone to support integration of drones with manned aviation through closer cooperation between Air Traffic Management (ATM) and Unmanned Air Traffic Management (UTM).

In an initial step, members of SkyDrone parent company skeyes have rolled out an Airport Movement System (AMS) at the DronePort site. This service provides increased situational awareness, the aim of which is mainly to improve the safety of operations, says the company.
