American Aerospace Technologies joins the OneSky Future of Flight programme

American Aerospace Technologies Inc(AATI) has signed on to be a member of the OneSky Future of Flight program. AATI provides airborne intelligence solutions with near real-time (nRT) threat reporting for critical infrastructure patrol and emergency response. The company has been flying long-endurance UAS at medium altitudes Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) in the national airspace system since 2010. The OneSky Future of Flight program aims to help participants like AATI navigate the challenges of integrating their vehicles with air traffic management solutions.

OneSky will work closely with AATI to:

  • Create a digital CONOPS that will serve as an aid to help validate and share operational concepts
  • Grant access to the critical APIs needed to interact with OneSky’s UTM solutions
  • Share technical requirements to help shape the OneSky technology roadmap
  • Help evaluate where OneSky services and solutions can reduce time to market challenges

Michael Tornetta, Head of Sales and Strategic Growth at OneSky, said, “The OneSky relationship with American Aerospace goes back several years. We believe that their focus on BVLOS operations at medium altitudes and long endurance mission sets make us a natural fit as technology partners. CEO David Yoel and his team have a brilliant understanding of the entire operation from tip to tail. We look forward to helping them achieve great things with our software solutions.”

David Yoel, CEO of AATI, said, “BVLOS UAS operating at medium altitudes offer incredible increases in safety, efficiency, and productivity over drones as well as conventional aircraft. They represent the next revolution in unmanned aviation. We are excited to be working with the OneSky team on our common goal of developing and validating the safety and effectiveness of medium altitude BVLOS UAS for routine operations at scale.”
