Aloft introduces new checklist, compliance and risk assessment features for B4UFLY, extends FAA partnership

Aloft has launched new safety features as part of its B4UFLY application. The company has also announced a two-year extension of its public/private partnership with the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The three new preflight tools apply to the B4UFLY app on iOS and Adroid.

  • A new educational and compliance-focused checklist to help users get started. The evergreen checklist reminds pilots to register at the FAA Drone Zone, label their drone, and get their TRUST certificate.
  • A pre-flight risk assessment to help drone pilots determine their state of readiness for a safe flight.
  • A pre-flight checklist with tried and tested steps that pilots should take before every flight.

The company reports over 18 million airspace safety searches via the app and plans more safety features in 2022 including new features for Notify & Fly.
