Israel National Police issue RFI for range of C-UAS systems

The Israel National Police has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to explore advanced C-UAS technologies before moving on to the demonstration phase (RFD). Deadline for submissions is 30 July 2023 at 15:00.

According to a summary report of the RFI (which is in Hebrew), the request for information has been segmented into three distinct categories:

  • Sensors (including RF, Radar, Electro-Optics, Acoustics, etc.)
  • Soft kill technologies (encompassing jammers and takeovers)
  • Hard-kill technologies (such as aiming devices, drones, and ammunition).

In a Linkedin post Isaac (Serge) Siekierski, C-UAS R&D Officer with the Israel National Police reported:

“We aim to select the best providers based on these categories and eventually issue a tender for their procurement, with a specific focus on highly effective, proven, and innovative solutions that are tailored toward handling challenging urban environments. We are seeking recommendations and technical, tactical, or strategic insights from key actors within the C-UAS industry that can aid us in this process. If you possess any quality insights or recommendations regarding C-UAS, we would be more than happy to receive them.

“Please note that the RFI is currently presented in Hebrew, and all interested participants will be required to go through an Israeli representative. We look forward to shortlisting the best companies and asking them to demonstrate their solutions in September.”
