USCENTCOM engages five UAS over the Red Sea

United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) has neutralised five uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) over the Red Sea.

USCENTCOM successfully engaged the UAS between 01:48 and 02:27 (Sanaa time) on April 28. It was determined that the UAS presented an imminent threat to US, coalition, and merchant vessels in the region. USCENTCOM has not disclosed whether the UAS were destroyed.

On April 3, USCENTCOM shot down two UAS and a ballistic missile, which the US military said were launched by Iranian-backed Houthi terrorists from Yemen.
