AgEagle Aerial Systems Inc. joint venture ThirdEye USA is participating in the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) technology experimentation initiative. ThirdEye USA is demonstrating its MeduzaX AI-enabled counter-uncrewed aerial systems (C-UAS) platform.
The CENTCOM event, Experimentation: Transforming in Contact (EXTiC) 26-2, runs from 27-29 July and creates relevant scenarios to help joint force participants rapidly test, validate and integrate innovative solutions. The programme is organised with the support of the US Defence Innovation Unit and has the potential for contract awards without further competition following EXTiC validation.
MeduzaX is designed to detect, track and classify hostile drones using passive electro-optical technology. The company says it takes less than ten minutes to set up and has a 97 percent positive detection rate. The unit produces no radiation or emissions and can operate off a 24-hour battery.
