Terra Drone Corporation, through its group company Terra Inspectioneering B.V., has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with International Golden Group L.L.C. (IGG), a UAE-based defence and security company headquartered in Abu Dhabi and part of the EDGE Group.
Under the MoU, Terra Drone and IGG will begin collaboration in the counter-uncrewed aerial systems (C-UAS) field, focusing on defence applications including interceptor drones that can be integrated with C-UAS systems.
The two companies will also study operational environments, including sensors, payloads, ground control systems and radar integration. Their operational and technical collaboration will include working to establish sales, maintenance and operational support structures in the Middle East. The joint regional deployment of C-UAS systems will begin with the UAE.
IGG already provides products and services to the UAE Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Interior and other government defence and security agencies. Terra Drone said in a 7 July press release that it will combine IGG’s defence industry platform in the Middle East with the Terra Drone Group’s expertise in interceptor drones, reconnaissance drones, UTM, data integration and operational support to develop C-UAS proposals for military and government agencies, as well as critical infrastructure operators.
