SRC secures US Army E-LIDS contract to provide counter drone capability

US Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, has awarded SRC a USD426 million hybrid (cost-no-fee, cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price) contract for development, production, deployment and support of the Expeditionary-Low, Slow, Small Unmanned Aircraft System Integrated Defeat System (E-LIDS).  Bids were solicited via the internet with one received.  Work locations and funding will be determined with each order, with an estimated completion date of July 2025.

The E-LIDS programme is for the procurement, delivery, and sustainment of the hardware, software, and firmware in support of the U.S. Army and Joint Urgent Occupational Need (JUON) CC-0558. This C-UAS capability is also required to detect, track, classify, evaluate and defeat Group 1, Group 2, and low-end Group 3 UAS.
