Flyby Guys has launched Drone Assistant, a regulatory intelligence platform designed to help drone operators identify the rules applicable to specific operations and jurisdictions.
The online platform uses aviation regulations and guidance from national authorities and other official sources to provide answers to regulatory questions, with references to the underlying source material, according to the company.
Drone Assistant covers regulations across the US, Australia, UK, New Zealand, EASA member states and other jurisdictions. Flyby Guys said the platform converts regulatory material into structured and versioned data and monitors the underlying sources for changes.
The platform is aimed primarily at commercial drone operators, enterprise UAS programmes and companies conducting beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) and Specific Category operations. Other intended users include drone delivery companies, UAS consultants, compliance teams and remote pilots preparing operations in new jurisdictions.
Flyby Guys said the system is designed to indicate when there is insufficient evidence to answer a question rather than making an unsupported assumption. It does not provide flight clearance or airspace authorisation and is not intended to replace information from aviation authorities or professional advice.
The launch coincides with the company’s Drone Regulation Index 2026, which compares regulatory frameworks across 31 markets. Flyby Guys said the index and Drone Assistant are intended to help operators identify differences in regulatory requirements between jurisdictions.
