Autonomous Guard has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Romanian military manufacturer Optoelectronica – 2001 to jointly pursue advanced counter-uncrewed aerial systems (C-UAS) opportunities in Europe.
The four-year agreement covers the joint supply and sale of drone detection, disruption and interception solutions, with an initial potential scope of up to EUR 30 million in 2026. It comes as Romania, like many other European countries, steps up its C-UAS efforts, including new military and civil deployments and purchases.
Meanwhile, Skylock, part of Autonomous Guard, will integrate Insignito’s acoustic sensors into multi-layer C-UAS systems. Skylock and Insignito previously participated in a large-scale NATO operational trial in Romania earlier this year, where more than 200 technologies from approximately 21 countries were evaluated against evolving drone threats. During the trial, Insignito’s acoustic sensor was integrated into Skylock’s Sky Dome C-UAS system.
