Zipline pledges 1M deliveries per day with Uber partnership

Zipline is partnering with Uber to offer drone delivery across the United States.

The partnership will first go live across markets where Zipline already operates like Dallas and Houston, before expanding. Together, the companies plan to make one million deliveries a day by the end of 2029, then keep growing the network with more locations and more routes nationwide. The partnership’s first deliveries to Uber Eats customers will begin this year.

Uber is also making a strategic investment in Zipline to accelerate the scale of drone delivery.

In July, Zipline announced an expansion of its US operations with launches in Cleveland and Austin and the addition of new executives, including Allen Penn as head of commercial. He previously helped grow Uber and led its expansion across Asia, as well as global operations at Uber Eats.
