SafeSky airspace awareness app now integrates Norway’s Droneflykart

SafeSky, developer of the Safesky app which provides pilots in Europe and beyond with a heads-up view of potential converging traffic, has announced its collaboration with Droneflykart, a drone planning platform. The partnership enables drone operations published through Droneflykart to be shared through the SafeSky network, helping improve situational awareness between unmanned and manned aviation.

“By bringing together relevant operational, regulatory, and airspace information into a single interface, Droneflykart helps pilots plan their flights with greater confidence and awareness,” said SafeSky in a press release.

“Beyond flight planning, the platform also provides tools to support operational compliance and risk assessment, contributing to safer and more informed drone operations throughout Norway….Through the integration with SafeSky, active drone operations published through Droneflykart can now be shared with the wider aviation ecosystem. This allows participating operators to make their activities visible beyond the drone community itself, helping other airspace users better understand ongoing operations and contributing to a more complete picture of airspace activity. The integration supports SafeSky’s vision of creating a connected environment where relevant airspace information can be shared efficiently between different stakeholders, regardless of the platform they use.

The news comes shortly after SafeSky and RigiTech agreed to integrate the SafeSky Network directly into RigiCloud “RigiCloud users can see nearby crewed and uncrewed traffic, including aircraft, helicopters, gliders, ultralights, paragliders, paramotors, and connected drone operations. Live drone position from RigiCloud is also visible to aviation pilots thgouth the SafeSky Network. The integration supports advanced BVLOS operations and contributes to SORA air-risk mitigation by improving situational awareness and cooperative visibility.”
