Korea Drone and UAM Expo opens next week with drone football, air taxis and future UTM plans

The 2026 Korea Drone and Urban Air Mobility (UAM) Expo will open at Songdo Convensia, Incheon on July 15. More than 130 organisations will participate in the three-day expo which features a drone festival, UAM showcase, drone delivery demonstrations and a drone football tournament.

The event provides a view of the future where drones and UAM are integrated into daily life and industrial sectors. It combines industrial exhibitions and international conferences with events to attract the public such as drone light shows, drone pilot lessons and air taxi flight demonstrations.

Administrative and public agencies will also be attending to highlight drones as tools to support and improve public services such as disaster response, safety management and facility inspections. Government agencies will present the status of ‘Drone Demonstration City’ operations and the commercialisation progress of drones while also introducing the current state of national drone infrastructure and plans for establishing a drone traffic management system.

In the expo’s international zone, government representatives and companies from the US, Canada, Senegal, Nigeria and Mauritania will showcase products and technologies while seeking potential opportunities for global investment and partnerships.

During the expo, various events will be held concurrently, including a global conference focused on drones and UAM, the Drone Industry Alliance General Assembly, the 20th UAM Team Korea Working Group meeting, a UAM Olympiad technical seminar and an information session for the fourth round of applications for Drone Special Free Zones.
