The Joint Authorities for Rulemaking on Unmanned Systems (JARUS) has published updated Predefined Risk Assessments (PDRA) along with the new BASIC Operations Manual (B-OM) and its supporting modules.

JARUS PDRA-01 2.0 Release – This PDRA is an application of the SORA intended to provide uncrewed aerial system (UAS) operators with an already completed risk assessment for the operation with a characteristic dimension of up to 3 m and a maximum speed of 35 m/s, MTOM <25kg, in beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) operation with visual mitigation, with a maximum population density of <50 ppl/km², in uncontrolled airspace.
JARUS PDRA-02 2.0 Release – A SORA application intended to provide UAS operators with an already completed risk assessment for the operation with a characteristic dimension of up to 3 m and a maximum speed of 35 m/s, MTOM <25kg, in a BVLOS operation, with a maximum population density of <50 ppl/km², in an atypical air environment.
JARUS PDRA-05 2.0 Release – A SORA application to provide UAS operators with an already completed risk assessment for the operation with a characteristic dimension of up to 3 m and a maximum speed of 35 m/s, MTOM <25kg, in BVLOS operation, with a maximum population density of <50 ppl/km², in uncontrolled airspace.
JARUS B-OM 1.0 Release – This Basic Operations Manual provides an example on how to write an Operations Manual in accordance with SORA Annex A for a typical SAIL II operation.
JARUS B-OM M1 Module 1.0 Release – Provides an extension for handling the M1 mitigation when writing an Operations Manual in accordance with SORA Annex A for a typical SAIL II operation.
JARUS B-OM Flight Area 01 Module 1.0 Release – Provides an extension for handling the documentation of the flight area for an Operations Manual in accordance with SORA Annex A for a PDRA-01 or PDRA-05 operation.
JARUS B-OM Flight Area 02 Module 1.0 Release – Provides an extension for handling the documentation of the flight area for an Operations Manual in accordance with SORA Annex A for a PDRA-02 operation.
JARUS B-OM BVLOS Module 1.1 Release – Provides an extension for handling the BVLOS and TMPR section for an Operations Manual in accordance with SORA Annex A for a typical SAIL II operation.
