Global Konet Co., Ltd. and the K-Aviation Headquarters at Hanseo University in the Republic of Korea have signed an agreement to develop next-generation multi-data link technology for beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) and line of sight (LOS) drones and to foster a drone industry ecosystem.
The core of this agreement is to establish a next-generation data link platform capable of long-range BVLOS and LOS operations (within a 100km range) by integrating domestic Electronically Steered Antenna (ESA) technology with drone operation technologies.
Under the agreement, the two organizations have agreed to collaborate on the joint research and development of next-generation ESA satellite antennas, drone integration and flight testing, verification of data links based on satellite and RF communications, joint pursuit of domestic and international business opportunities, and technical exchanges and workforce development.
