Wing and Walmart extend delivery services in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex

In a blog post Shannon Nash, Chief Financial Officer at Wing has reported:

“I’m excited to share that Wing and Walmart are working together to launch drone delivery in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex in the coming weeks. We’ll start with two Walmart Supercenters, so residents can order a range of products, including quick meals, groceries, household essentials, and over-the-counter medicines.

“This is a major milestone for Wing, as we continue down our path toward building capabilities to support some of the most significant delivery operations in the world. Our technology is designed to complement existing delivery offerings, making overall systems more efficient and able to meet real customer needs.

This news means there will be two additional Wing service areas in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro.

“We’ll start at the Walmart Supercenter at 8555 Preston Road in Frisco, adding a large section of central and eastern Frisco to the service area (our most-requested expansion area since we first launched in western Frisco in 2021).”

Wing is also extending its hours of operations to 10:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m and moving to six days a week (open every day except Wednesdays), with deliveries made within 30 minutes of order.
