Ukraine’s partners have announced new contributions from European allies to strengthen the country’s air defence capabilities following the 36th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the Ramstein format.
Germany announced new deliveries of Patriot interceptor missiles and F-16 aircraft, alongside additional drone procurements.
Norway will provide a previously announced USD200 million package for the procurement of Patriot missiles, while Spain will deliver air defence missiles and artillery ammunition. Spain will also allocate EUR2 million for fuel through the NATO Support and Procurement Agency.
Poland is preparing a new EUR50 million assistance package that will include air defence capabilities, while the Netherlands announced a USD300 million contribution to the Drone Line project and the transfer of 300 counter-UAV missiles.
The UK will allocate GBP100 million for the supply of US weapons through the Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) mechanism. Lithuania will contribute USD10 million to PURL, while Sweden will provide a USD28 million support package, including a USD14 million PURL contribution.
