GUTMA releases USS data sharing and governance agreement template

The Global UTM Association (GUTMA) has released its USS Data Sharing and Governance Agreement template.

The template is the result of work undertaken by the USS Data Sharing Agreement Task Force, led by the Federal Office of Civil Aviation Switzerland (FOCA). The Task Force was formed last year with the objective of delivering a master agreement to simplify and harmonise the exchange of data between USSs, laying the foundation for cooperation among U-space service providers worldwide.

The new template reflects lessons learned from the North Texas Shared Airspace Implementation. It refers to the ASTM Standards F3411-22a and F3548-21 by way of example. Parties to the agreement may adapt the template for use with other standards.

Amanda Boekholt (FOCA) led the Task Force members who represented Airways New Zealand, ANRA Technologies, DroneUp, the United States Federal Aviation Administration, Flytrex, Flyvercity, FOCA, Heron AirBridge, HHLA Sky GmbH, High Lander, NEC Corporation, OneSky, Openskies Aerial Technology, R-SYS subsidiary of ERA, SkeyDrone, skyguide, TruWeather Solutions, Wing, and Zipline.
