French transport innovation agency opens Toulouse offices to support shared airspace projects

French transport innovation agency, Agence de l’Innovation pour les Transports (AIT), has opened two offices in Toulouse: located in the offices of Direction Generale de l’Aviation Civile (DGAC/DSNA), and the Directorate General of Infrastructure, Transport and the Sea (DGITM). The agency – launched earlier this year – supports projects in the field of green mobility, data communities, and solutions to allow airspace sharing. Activities in Toulouse include development and testing of local initiatives.

AIT launched the Propulse programme in August 2021 followed by the U-space Together call for proposals in September for the management of air traffic for drones at very low altitude as part of the ‘development of spaces for multiple use’ for better management of air traffic for drones at very low altitude in Europe and for safe and efficient sharing of airspace.
