Europe’s GNSS Agency launches Galileo satellite navigation app competition

The European GNSS Agency has launched MyGalileoDrone competition, targeting the design and development of drone-based apps and services using a Galileo enabled receiver for positioning or navigation, with the first prize of €100.000 and a total prize pool of €230,000.

According to the official announcement:

“The first milestone requires submitting an idea by 15th September, that will be developed in the next phases. Galileo can be used in the drone navigation system, payload, within a smartphone application or any other device supporting the operation.”
