DLR to demonstrate three medical use cases as part of SAFIR-Ready research

The German Aerospace Center (DLR)‘s Institute of Flight Guidance is organizing the demonstration flights in Braunschweig as part of the SAFIR-Ready research project.

DLR is working closely with the other SAFIR-Ready project partners, the Braunschweig Municipal Hospital , and the Braunschweig/Wolfsburg Research Airport to demonstrate a total of three different use cases.
The required technology, including cargo drones for transporting medical equipment or goods, is provided by the project partners for this purpose. Currently, the use cases are being detailed with the assistance of the local stakeholders to efficiently meet the needs for medical service drones, and the setup of connectivity with Droniq partners is prepared.
The SAFIR-Ready project belongs to the SESAR 3 JU program funded by the European Commission through Horizon Europe.
