Sentrycs offers portable counter-drone system for USD99,000

Sentrycs has announced a USD99,000 fixed-price package for its portable Ranger counter-uncrewed aircraft system (C-UAS), including three years of maintenance, as US states and territories prepare to access new federal counter-drone funding.

The US Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced an additional USD250 million in C-UAS grants on 16 October, covering all 50 states, five territories and the District of Columbia.

The Ranger package combines detection, tracking, identification and mitigation capabilities in a portable system designed for state and local law enforcement, says the company. It uses passive radio frequency (RF) sensing and protocol manipulation to identify and track drones and provide mitigation capabilities for mobile and tactical operations.

Formerly known as Scout, Ranger is listed on the Safer Skies Authorized Systems List under the name Sentrycs Horizon. The fixed-price offer includes three years of maintenance, with the company saying the package is intended to give agencies predictable costs for deployment and support.

Sentrycs, part of Ondas, said the system is available through its authorised distributors and partners.
