Quantum Systems has completed a two-week military exercise in Germany demonstrating coordinated uncrewed operations across air, land and sea, using its MOSAIC UXS software suite to connect systems from multiple manufacturers.
Forward Edge 26 featured four scenarios covering uncrewed defence operations, convoy protection, coastal and port security, and mine-laying and route clearance. The demonstrations combined aerial reconnaissance, ground robotics, maritime systems and counter-uncrewed aerial system (C-UAS) capabilities.
In the defence scenario, surveillance systems identified simulated enemy forces before C-UAS systems, strike assets and uncrewed ground systems engaged them. Another scenario used laser-based C-UAS systems to protect an uncrewed convoy, while the maritime scenario linked aerial and sea-based systems for coastal surveillance and threat response.
The exercise also demonstrated remote piloting of systems in Ukraine, the US and Australia. Industry participants included Daimler Truck, Frontline Robotics, Volkswagen and XTEND, alongside other technology partners.
Quantum Systems said the results would inform further system development, integration and operational validation.

The September issue of the 2026 Unmanned Airspace Global Counter-UAS Systems Directory is now available. The guide is the world’s only comprehensive, continually updated directory of global C-UAS companies and systems. It itemises over 1,000 C-UAS products and services with performance details, company sales and partnerships arrangements. It is updated every month and broken down into niche sub-sectors (net-capture, missiles, intercept drones, detectors etc) to give C-UAS procurement and industry personnel a unique perspective of global C-UAS technical capabilities and market positions. It is available in word, PDF and excel formats and Unmanned Airspace readers are eligible for a range of discounts. For more information about the Directory please contact the editor Philip Butterworth-Hayes at philip@unmannedairspace.info.
