MBDA, Ukrainian Armour sign MoU to jointly develop C-UAS technologies

MBDA and the Ukrainian defence company Ukrainian Armor have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), launching a strategic partnership discussion aimed at developing advanced defence capabilities in the fields of deep strike and counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS).

“The signed agreement establishes a framework for long-term cooperation between the parties, including exploring joint initiatives, knowledge sharing, and collaborative projects aimed at driving innovation and delivering enhanced value,” said MBDA in a press release. “The initial areas of cooperation identified are Deep Strike and C-UAS, both of which are of key importance for ensuring operational superiority in high-intensity conflicts. The exchange of technological expertise, development of joint production programs and introduction of innovative solutions will ensure the operational superiority in high-intensity conflicts and be the basis for close collaboration with the envisaged goal of establishing a Joint Venture. At the same time, these areas represent only part of a broader strategic partnership program and of which further details will be announced in due course.”

Ukrainian Armor contributes substantial practical experience in the design, development, integration, and production of a wide range of defence products, including armored wheeled vehicles, mortar systems, ammunition, artillery shells, unmanned ground and aerial systems, as well as related components.
