Eurosatory 2026 – Indra to integrate its NEMUS C-UAS radar into Rheinmetall’s StrikeShield APS

Indra Group has signed an agreement with Rheinmetall to integrate its NEMUS AESA radar into the modular architecture of StrikeShield active protection system (APS), strengthening the capabilities of next‑generation armoured vehicle protection.

NEMUS can detect drones flying at 10 m/s—while simultaneously tracking high‑velocity threats exceeding 2,000 m/s, including kinetic‑energy projectiles, according to Indra. “This unique capability allows a single system to address a broad range of missions, being integrated into C‑UAS systems, short‑range air defence (SHORAD), intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance (ISTAR) solutions, and active protection system (APS) applications for armoured vehicles and battle tanks,” said Indra.

Rheinmetall’s StrikeShield APS provides the fire control calculation, selects and executes the most effective countermeasure solution, ensuring maximum survivability for both the platform and its crew.
