EKOLOT Aerospace & Defense (EAD) is developing a range of counter-uncrewed aerial systems (C-UAS) platforms that are designed to combine intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities with detection, tracking and engagement technologies.
As part of this development, EAD is working on different operational concepts ranging from direct engagement and airborne interceptor deployment to the future integration of lightweight guided effectors, expanding the mission capabilities of its ZEUS family of UAS.
EAD’s Direct Engagement System combines a ZEUS unmanned platform with EO/IR sensing and a remotely operated weapon system, providing an airborne capability for detection, tracking and direct engagement of aerial and ground targets.
Meanwhile, the Airborne Mothership & Interceptors System is being developed to provide extended-area protection through airborne sensing, deployment and coordination of interceptor systems. A larger ‘mothership’ UAS carries and manages multiple smaller interceptors, extending the defended airspace and supporting coordinated engagements.
The company’s third concept explores the integration of lightweight guided effectors on Class II UAS, designed to provide long-range neutralisation of hostile drones.
