DroneShield reports that as part of a major Q2 2026 release, its relaunched RfLink is an ATAK-CIV plugin running on the TAK platform, enabling a shared and updated operational view.
“TAK” stands for Tactical Assault Kit/Team Awareness Kit — a US government-developed software platform enabling real-time geospatial coordination, secure information sharing, and tactical decision-making, according to a description of the system on the Alpha 56 website. “Originally built by the US Department of Defense, TAK is now a globally adopted, open-architecture ecosystem used by military, law enforcement, and private security teams alike.”
According to its own website. “TAK delivers real-time data sharing, intuitive visualizations, and integrated planning and targeting tools, empowering operators to outthink, outmaneuver, and outpace any adversary.”
