D-Fend’s EnforceAir provided FIFA World Cup 2026 counter-drone security

D-Fend Solutions has disclosed that its EnforceAir platform was deployed at multiple host cities for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, having been selected by national, federal, state and local law enforcement and public safety agencies. The system protected matches, surrounding venues and critical infrastructure from unauthorised drone activity across the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The company and its public safety partners maintained a strict posture of confidentiality leading up to and during the tournament. The Federal Aviation Administration established no-drone zones through nearly 250 temporary flight restrictions covering all match venues, fan festivals, team hotels and training sites. In July, the US Department of Transportation said that the counter-drone effort during the event resulted in the seizure of more than 700 unauthorised drones.

EnforceAir executes RF cyber-takeovers of rogue drones as a standalone, multilayer or integrated system. The technology is designed to enable safe landings and controlled outcomes.

End users charged with protecting the event, such as the City of Atlanta Police Department, Cobb County Police Department and Mexico City Police, have said EnforceAir was a vital component in their counter-drone efforts.
