Cambridge Aerospace has today (10 August) announced the closure of its Series C round with USD 300 million of investment. The round will support the company’s growth as it expands manufacturing capabilities to deliver on existing and new contracts, while continuing to invest product development.
The round was led by DFJ Growth and supported by Lux, Accel, Lakestar, Never Lift, Ora Global and Elad Gil & Co.
In April, Cambridge Aerospace raised USD 200 million in Series B funding that was co-led by Elad Gil & Co and Spark Capital. Since then, it has received several contracts from the UK Ministry of Defence including the provision of Skyhammer low-cost interceptors for the UK Armed Forces.
Skyhammer has a range of more than 30 km with a top speed of 700 km/h, making it suitable for intercepting a range of threats including Shahed-style drones. Cambridge Aerospace expects to bring its next product, Starhammer, to market in 2027.
As well as the UK, the company has a presence in Germany, Poland, Norway, Ukraine and Australia.
