C-UAS interceptor developer Askari Defence raises USD9 million in investment

Askari Defense reports in a Linkedin post it has raised a USD9 million seed round led by Builders VC to accelerate its work building hand-launched, autonomous interceptors.

Builders VC led the round, with participation from Sovereign’s Capital, Swell VC, Rule 1 Ventures, WaterStone Impact Fund, and a syndicate of defence leaders including Gabe Dominocielo, Dan Magy, Naweed Tahmas, James Kubik and others.

The company is developing the RIFT ALPHA fully 3D-printed man-portable drone interceptor. The interceptor has a range of 2km and is being developed to target group one and two drones.
