Bahrain Defence Force selects BATS coastal surveillance system

The Bahrain Defence Forces (BDF) has selected Belgian Advanced Technology Systems (BATS), manufacturer of the Anti-drone Guard X-band, phased array, Pulse-Doppler radar, for the supply of an Integrated Coastal Surveillance System, to protect the shores of a military base in the country.

According to a company press release:

“The solution features multiple installations of state of the art radars and electro-optics, integrated in a Command and Control Centre. BATS’ GR12 staring radar technology will be the core of the solution. The system will provide medium and far range as well as near shore and on-shore detection and tracking, and will compile them into an overall tactical situation picture presented to the operators. The contract has been signed in the second half of 2021, and delivery is foreseen in 2022.”
