Weibel Scientific has secured a EUR84 million contract with Polish defence electronics company PIT-RADWAR to supply its XENTA-M5 radar for Poland’s SAN counter-uncrewed aircraft systems (C-UAS) programme.
The XENTA-M5 will provide detection, tracking and classification of airborne threats, including small, low-flying drones and aircraft. Its data will feed into SAN’s integrated architecture, which combines sensors, command-and-control systems and effectors to support counter-drone operations.
The SAN programme is part of Poland’s efforts to strengthen its national air defence, particularly along the country’s eastern flank.
