ANRA advances counter-drone systems through NATO interoperability testing

ANRA Technologies is developing its counter-uncrewed aircraft systems (C-UAS) capabilities by combining sensor detections with airspace data to help operators distinguish authorised drone activity from potential threats.

The company said its Single Integrated Operating Picture (SIOP) software and Tactical Airspace and C-UAS Operations (TACO) system have advanced from Technology Readiness Level 5 to Level 7 following development and testing in defence and security environments.

SIOP combines data from sources including radar, radio-frequency sensors, optical sensors, Remote ID and ADS-B with UAS traffic management information. TACO packages these capabilities in a portable system that can be deployed in under 15 minutes.

ANRA has participated in NATO counter-UAS technical interoperability exercises since 2023 and US Army Driving Innovation in Realistic Training Days (DIRT). Testing has included integration using the SAPIENT open architecture, alongside ASTERIX and other interfaces. ANRA clarified that participation in these exercises does not constitute NATO certification or endorsement.

The company is seeking partnerships with sensor manufacturers, defence and homeland security integrators, public safety organisations and government agencies to develop and demonstrate integrated counter-drone systems.

The Fall issue of the 2026 Unmanned Airspace Global Counter-UAS Systems Directory is now available. The guide is the world’s only comprehensive, continually updated directory of global C-UAS companies and systems. It itemises over 1,000 C-UAS products and services with performance details, company sales and partnerships arrangements. It is updated every month and broken down into niche sub-sectors (net-capture, missiles, intercept drones, detectors etc) to give C-UAS procurement and industry personnel a unique perspective of global C-UAS technical capabilities and market positions. It is available in word, PDF and excel formats and Unmanned Airspace readers are eligible for a range of discounts.
