Kongsberg has signed an agreement with Oshkosh Defense Europe B.V. for the delivery of PROTECTOR RS4 remote weapon stations (RWS) equipped with Kongsberg’s PROTECTOR counter-uncrewed aerial systems (C-UAS) capability.
The systems will be integrated on Oshkosh Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTVs) and delivered to the Royal Netherlands Armed Forces.
The PROTECTOR RS4 is a modular RWS currently in service with 31 nations and allied forces. When integrated with the PROTECTOR C-UAS capability, the system enables operators to engage both individual drones and more complex threat scenarios.
PROTECTOR is scalable and designed to detect, track, identify and neutralise drone threats. The system combines sensors, targeting data and effectors and can be adapted to a range of mission requirements.
